Professor Dr Hein Schreuder is based in Maastricht in the Netherlands.
He has both an academic and business background and is currently Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Acquisitions at Royal DSM NV, a Dutch multinational, focused on life sciences and materials sciences.
His previous academic functions include Director of the Economic and Social Institute of the Free University of Amsterdam and Professor of Business Economics, Strategy and Organization at Maastricht University.
He also served as Fellow of the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management and as President of the European Accounting Association.
He was a Visiting Scholar at the University of Washington and at Harvard Business School.
He joined DSM in 1991 as Director of DSM Polymers. Later he was appointed as Deputy Director of Corporate Planning and Development before assuming his present function.
Hein Schreuder also serves on Council of the City University in London, as honorary professor of Business Economics at Maastricht University and Distinguished Visiting Professor at the China Europe International Business School in Shanghai. (CEIBS)
He lives in Maastricht with his wife Ellen and their three children. His eldest son Hans works in Dubai.
